The Abbot was a Deva who ran the Abbey of Saint Markovia. His fall from grace started when he cured a family called the Belviews of "human weaknesses" by turning them into Mongrelfolk. He was approached by Strahd, who asked for a bride, so the Abbot started working on a Flesh Golem called Vasilka. He is quite insane and evil, although he believes otherwise.
