Lamordian was a language used in the domain of Lamordia. It had a very distinct style and grammar from other languages in the realm.[1]

Description[]

Lamordian was characterized by euphemistic compound words, odd idiomatic expressions, and a complex system of tenses and genders. Its alphabet consisted of hundreds of sounds, including diphthongs and slurs that in other languages would be considered two, three, or even four distinct letters.[1]

When spoken, Lamordian was said to be flat and guttural. Those outside of Lamordia typically felt it sounded both unpleasant and like an amalgamation of Darkonese, Falkovnian, and Mordentish.[1]

Speakers[]

Lamordian was the primary language in Lamordia. The domain's inhabitants took great pride in their native language and were often prone to alerting travelers when they made a grammatical error or mispronunciation.[1]

Other domains where Lamordian speakers were known to inhabit included Darkon, Dementlieu, Falkovnia, and Necropolis.[2]
