Doppelganger golems were a type of flesh golem constructed by stitching together the body parts of dread doppelgangers.[1]

Description[]

In their natural state, the doppelganger golem resembled a typical Ravenloft doppelganger, albeit horrendously scarred.[1]

Abilities[]

Doppelganger golems possessed all the same abilities as the average flesh golem. What set them apart was that during combat they would gradually shapechange into a form resembling their opponent.[1]

Unlike actual doppelgangers, these golems maintained their resistances while in a transformed state.[1]

History[]

Doppelganger golems were first invented in 752 BC by Emil Bollenbach, who at the time had allied himself with a group of doppelgangers that brought him the raw materials he needed.[1]
