Barovia was a village in the domain of Barovia. It was oppressed by Strahd von Zarovich. The hamlet nestled in a valley at the foot of Castle Ravenloft. It was the home of Ireena Kolyana, Strahd's "beloved".[1]

- Burgomaster's mansion: the residence of Kolyan Indirovich[3]
- Church: This church was haunted by the priest Donavich's vampire son, Doru.[4]

- Graveyard- This graveyard was haunted by harmless spirits.[6]
- Bildrath's Mercantile: This was the only shop for gear in Barovia and the most expensive.[7]
